Typical for my stops today, the Jackpine Mountain site required about a 1 mile walk along the old road. The road was clear and might be passable for a more 'woods worthy' car than my little chevy.
Here I captured one of the concrete anchor pads and a memorial to Pete. I also found a few pieces of the old metal structure. This time of year, the leafed out brush make it difficult to see into the edges of a site.
Finished Jack Pine Lookout Tower, Halfway Ranger District.
