The type of steel remain on the site from the removed tower suggest it not one of the standard type. The "Jones & Laughlin" stenciled on a piece of the steel indicate an non standard manufacturer. In addition the configuration of the steel suggested a different type of construction. A picture taken of the tower in 1966 bore out my suspicions. The Cab appears much bigger than usual and a deck run about the outside of the cap. Contact us.

Brule Lake Firetower 1966
In this photograph of Dave Young taken in 1966, the cab is much larger than the typical Minnesota Fire Towers that I have seen to date. The cap also has a deck running around the outside.

A piece of the stair way used to climb the tower lies abandoned on the site. The right photograph show one of the concrete anchor pads.
